Re: Thoughts on splitting a brand new tractor?

Nobody said it was an everyday, routine problem.

Even with an HST, a modern tractor is still a simple machine save for the electronics (which are still far simpler than something like a modern...

    Re: who makes tractors

It's possible....none of this is easy to follow. I know that IHI Shibaura sill has compact tractors listed, and I've read they have more than one manufacturing facility. I saw a note that they have...

Re: Thoughts on splitting a brand new tractor?

And they will be able to tell whether that was a problem after they take it apart.

No dealer is going to replace a tractor because of one problem in the first 20 hours....no matter what. ...

Re: Thoughts on splitting a brand new tractor?

Why wouldn't it be the same? It got bolted together at the factory and it'll get bolted together at the dealer. It's not exactly rocket science...pretty much just getting the torque settings...

    Re: who makes tractors

Add Shibaura (Japan) to that list of those who make their own but don't sell here. Some New Holland and CaseIH models are still made by Shibaura.

I didn't say he should lose sleep over it, I just said you can't make a blanket statement that it doesn't matter what oil you use for break in because of modern engine manufacturing methods. In many...

  95. Re: Synthetic Vs petroleum oil for engine break in ?

They haven't made that welder long enough for it to be a problem with updating the manual.

It's possible they're making the engine with old technology, but there's really no way for any of us to...

Re: Is it time for a gasoline engine tractor?

That has nothing to do with the duty cycle the machines are built for. Just because some people don't run their CUTs hard doesn't mean some don't, or that they aren't designed for that.

    I ran my...

Re: Is it time for a gasoline engine tractor?

No, the upgrades took a number of years to be implemented and paid off, with some variation from refinery to refinery. The last refineries were upgraded around 2010. The average time to amortize...

Re: Is it time for a gasoline engine tractor?

That has noting to do with diesel CUTs. Nobody said a gas engine couldn't run at rated power continuously.

You simply don't understand duty cycle.

Lots of CUTs get run for hours on end...

Re: Is it time for a gasoline engine tractor?

Because 2006 to 2015 is history, and there were specific factors during those years that cause the price of diesel to be higher. Those factors are gone and diesel is back to being less expensive...
