Re: My new 2554 saga begins at 7 hrs....

I am glad you got your problem taken care of. I had an issue early on when i got my 2518 and the dealer took care of it right away. Luckily I had my Craftsman yet to finish mowing.

Re: Cub flyer in local paper(from Cub Cadet)

Joel, I am really amazed at how much lower the prices are now. The difference is huge. My 2518 and your 2544 are the same tractor and I paid $1000 more! I can't complain though, I was actually...

Re: Out with the 2185 in with the 2554.

    Welcome to the 2500 club!

I had to replace my PTO at 300 hours. After more careful reading of the manuel. I engage at half throttle.

    Re: So....Hood #3 (06 GT2554)

Cub Cadet just needs to forget this plastic hood and go back to the metal one. Any money they saved by going plastic has to be lost in all these replacements and retro-fits and what ever else they...

Re: Cub Cadet / Kohler -> not so good

I have had no problems with my Kohler Command 20. It runs like a top uses no oil and has been very reliable. I have never had any trouble with Kohler engines.

    Re: 2009 Cub Cadet

You got that right! Remember when you could put about 5 gallons of gas in the tank? Of course gas was alot cheaper than it is now!

    Re: 2008 Cub Cadet 1050

Congrats on your new Cub! I am not sure about the snowblower. The bagger might work but I am sure the discharge opening on the Cub will be larger than the Yard-Man. I would check with a dealer on...

    Mowing Re: Engaging mower PTO

I let my Cub warm up about 5 minutes before engaging the pto. If I don't it will bog down and die.

Re: Didn't know my 2554 had this

I have used the CC a handful of times. It's okay but I don't really have any large flat areas in my lawn. For me the times I have used it I seem to spend more time resetting it because I needed to...
