Tractor falls off trailer. Tied down?
Tractor falls off trailer Monday on U.S. 131 - Petoskey News-Review: Local
My first thought was about towing a "trailer" that was hitched to a "load."
If you had only one single acting cylinder, it would be power extension, no power retraction. Must use another cylinder, gravity, push against a tree, etc. to move the other direction. :)
Take it easy out there.

Not really a leafblower, but that was my first thought when I saw it. I wonder how it would do. Just need a 90 degree gearbox to blow sideways.

Sounds like he tripped over a trailer tongue, not a tow hitch on a motor vehicle.
Totally off topic, but it reminded me of a cartoon.
I've been thinking of an attachment like a wide-frame carryall with a steel plate floor under the horizontal supports. The floor would be about 4 feet square. Think of a large skidding plate with...

The idea to take from the black one is that blade(s) can be belt driven and sped up, as opposed to the limitations of direct drive.
Ground drive is successful with reel mowers and sickle bar...
One problem with the long-bladed dangerous one is the curved blade (leaf spring?) will try to cut a weed stalk several times instead of only once.
The black one was built by a member here, with description and video.
