    I have quite a bit of 1/4 plate laying around. As long as it's braced top and bottom, it should be fine for the sides, right?

    I started welding the SSQA plate to the plow blade today. I used some old 1/4 plate and the plasma to cut out 4 pieces to tie them together.
    I took your advice and kept the FEL up about 4 inches...

    I straightened out some of the metal and reinforced some of the welds. I added some reinforcement to the bottom of the frame and reassembled it for fit-up. I'm waiting for the replacement bearings...

    I used a site on the internet to calculate pulley size and rpm. I think the max speed is 2100 so the calculations come just under that. I welcome any comments.

    Cut out the lid and welded on some hinges. Put on the chains to keep the lid from folding back onto the tractor. Gave it a quick coat of primer.
