My 3 cylinder Mitsu starts hard unless the engine is warm and has white smoke while running. I believe the injectors could use some attention. Can I remove them and possibly disassemble to clean?

The tractor is leaking hydraulic oil from the "lowering speed" control knob under the front of the seat. Is it a simple o-ring? Can I replace it by removing knob? Does the knob "sit" on a taper, I can not pry it off with nut removed, but did try much force at all as I don't want to damage it...
