Ok folks I have an early 70's Satoh 650g Bison with the 4 cylinder Mazda engine. I had to put new plugs, plug wires, new carburetor, new rotor bug, coil, all the normal stuff on an engine that's set for a year or so. My owners manual tells me to set the crank timing at 16 BTDC and aim the rotor...

Ok, does anybody have any photos of the distributor timing set on a Satoh 650G Bison?? I know it's timing set is 16 BTDC, but every time I stab it based upon #1 TDC, it doesn't even try to fire. Do these older 4cl Mazda distributors have to be timed off of another cylinder???
