I purchase a Ford 8N some time ago. I removed the 6v battery without noticing the way the battery was hooked up. Do you hook the red cable that comes from the stater/solenoid to the positive post on the battery or hook it the neg post. I have forgotten most of what little knowledge I had...

I am replacing the battery in a 8n, what would make the battery cables to get hot. I think this is a 6v system. As the name implies I am lost in space.

How do you remove the hydraulic pump from a ford 5000 with a frontend loader in place. Pictures would be nice. Unsure witch bolts to take out.
