    tips for smoothing trench

I kept running back and forth over it and it wasn't filling in the last ~2". the mound of dirt I was pulling just wouldn't fill it. the trench is a 1-1/4" supply line from the pump to the tank (pond) on a clients ranch-I've trenched 950', 650', 600' and 300' on this project.

    tips for smoothing trench

Trying to smooth out 600' of trench and wondering if there's a better method. I've gone back and forth with my lawn rake starting off at an angle to draw the trenched material toward the depression and finally after it was relatively filled I went back and forth with the lawn rake straight...

    3038e / 300 loader line sprung a leak-better fix?

not initially, but I checked it and it's loose because the o-ring blew out. hope it didn't send pieces of rubber into the system.

    3038e / 300 loader line sprung a leak-better fix?

pulling up some rocks and the lower fitting on the curl cylinder's hose started spurting fluid where the hose end threads onto the hydraulic line. I someone post a picture of a damaged o-ring which they claimed to be a typical culprit. Is this a common issue when pushing the loader to the edge...

    My Industrial Cabin Build

I'm curious about the hydro-fracking, any idea how long the higher rate is expected to last?

    Free Ford 1210

I had a 1710 12yrs back and the rod that the valves rockers rotate on broke (between #1 and #2 cylinder) it was low on power and not up to the task I had for it so it began to gather dust as a kubota stepped into the picture.

    Loading issues on Dump Trailer

it's a piece of cake for a good loading operator to 'swish' around some material towards the back of the dump trailer. If not, manually move some-you likely won't get a great deal of weight moved, but it will help. re: your 1500-I put additional springs in my 1500 suburban (many years back)...

    Value of L3540

I'm putting my '08 L3540 w/ HST, QA, LA724 and the larger bucket to go with it. The machine has 199hrs on it and has been parked outside (gasp :ashamed:). What would be a fair price to move this machine for? I've seen a lot of ad's on tractorhouse (?) selling for the $19k range, but those...

    dozer blade for FEL

I took a plow blade and fabricated a QA mount so that it could be used on the quick attach connection for a Kubota. Didn't use any hydraulics-only the three angles that are 'pinned' in the frame. NOw, I've wanted to build one of these for myself (other unit for someone else) with a few changes...

    loss of hydraulic control

I have a Kubota L3540HST, it's a sweet ride with about 85 hrs on the clock. Last summer I was having a quirk w/ the hydrualics not always going down smoothly. Well, I forgot about it and the problem went away (not sure how that happens). I'm pulling up asphalt w/ my forks and drove into the...

hydraulics for adding QA backhoe or auger

I have a L3540 which is a great tractor. I use the quick attach bucket and pallet forks quite often (switching between the two that is). I would like the ability to rent equipment for a bobcat-it will (should) attach via my FEL's QA but I'll need hydraulics to operate the attachment. has...

any ideas for an FEL mounted yard tool holder?

sometimes I drive the tractor about and hold the shovel or rake as I'm driving to the next pickup site (i.e. picking up yard debris). I have an L3540 and was toying around with a mount to be bolted onto the FEL attachment that could hold preferably two items such as a rake and a shovel. I...

    garage door height for L3540

the title says it all-I'm planning on building a shed and would like to be able to easily park a tractor inside. The tractor has foldable rops which had to be shortened by 3-4" in order to fit into the existing prebuilt garage, but would like to plan for a larger tractor to fit with ease. Has...

Tiller  3pt hitch not long enough for tiller

I have a new L3540 and hooked up an old Yanmar 48" rototiller and have found that it sits a little too close to the rear tires-so close in fact that if I raise it all the way the tires will chew into the tiller :-( the kubota has a quick attach system for the 3pt hitch (not sure what it's...

    what JD is comparable to...

I'm considering a John Deere, but not sure which would be comparable to a Kubota L3130 or L3240/L3540 with hyrdo tranny and a high capacity loader. I would 'really' like more hp, 31/32 seems on the low side but 4wd is a necessity and something not so heavy as to tear up a lawn. thanks guys!

Price Check  L3130 price and operation question

I'm looking at a 'new' L3130 from the dealer w/ loader (think it's a 513) for 18k-the salesman says it's been in the kubota warehouse for 2yrs. a little fading on the wheels and there are a couple of scratches on teh loader. Does $18k sound good for this setup? Is a 3130 w/ FEL to heave (in...

repair of bolt threads on block or weld repair

I have a tractor which has a subframe assembly which bolts to the front of the lower portion of the engine block. The front axle, FEL, bonnet, and a few other pieces mount to this subframe. The bolts holding the subframe onto the block have all sheared or wallowed out. Drilling and...

    B7800 float question

I just bought this little tractor-don't 'think' it has a float, but sure would be handy with the snowplow I've installed on the front (my fabrication-not the factory unit). I've never used the kubota w/ a float-if I had it would it powered partially in the down position, but when pushing the...

Dealer  Dealer or Factory blemishes on new unit

I recently bought a new unit and there are lots (and lots) of chips on the loader and even where they drove the loader bolts/nuts onto the frame of the tractor, there's lots of paint missing (like the bolts were bottomed out w/ a ratchet). I bought a QA front for the loader and it was scraped...

    B7800 cruise control option

I noticed another B model, maybe the B3030, which had some sort of cruise control lever (saw this in the owners manual). The B7800 I have has a pushbutton 'cruise', which may become tiresome in mowing conditions where we're mowing long straight stretches, turn then mow the other direction...

advice for cutting brackets-OxyAct or plasma?

I have a 5' bucket and I'm trying to cut the brackets that pin to the FEL frame, off. The objective is a flat backing to the bucket as I'm making it into a quick-attach bucket. So far, I've tried grinding, but with a 4.5" grinder, it slow progress and there are areas I can not reach b/c of...

cost of repairing a hydro drive transmission

On a Kubota 2710hst, which has a 27hp 4cylinder diesel and a three speed hydrostatic drive, does anyone know/quess as to the cost of repair? The low and medium speeds work as expected, but the high speed feels like it's not catching (lack of power). Guess it could be driven aroudn in L and M...

question about the L series quick attach

Is the quick attach system on the smaller L series (sorry, I don't know the part number) a universal/skid steer type of quick attach? I'm considering the kubota brand QA system, but don't want to lose out if I can't use QA stuff from the rental yard.

how do I bring up old posts?

I'm doing research trying to 'plow' through the great info in some older posts. When coming across links in old posts, they do not work but lead to the forum home page. I've tried to cut out the post number and forum id, but still can't get to the linked page. Any ideas how to overcome this...

Front-End Loader  Adding a snowblade to a FEL

I bet someone has gone down the road I'm am pondering...getting ready to purchase a B7800hst w/ a 402 (I think) FEL. Going to purchase the ATI Quick Attach system and then modify the stock bucket w/ a QA plate. The reason for all of this is to mount a snowplow. The big question is how can I...

    quick attach for B7800

I'm lining up a purchase of a B7800 for my church. I want the quick-attach system for the sake of hooking up a QA snowplow and other implements as they are needed. Originally I was looking at the ATI Tach-All Quick Attach for $650-only way to purchase is through the dealer. After talking w/ my...
