Well, I can't get the mower deck to activate when I pull out the pto switch. I can hear a click underneath when I pull the switch, but no engagement.

I recently bought an x300 w/snowblower from a guy who was moving out-of-state. The brake didn't work. The linkage was completely disconnected from the actuator arm, the spring pin was gone. I was just wondering if there was any legitimate reason anyone would disconnect the brake?

I just picked up a 2008 JD x300. It seems to be a good machine except for the fact that I cannot get the mower deck to raise and lock. When I push on the pedal to raise the deck there is little to no movement. The lock lever will pull out if I don't press on the pedal, but won't if I do. Thanks...

Just noticed this morning that there is a brown wire with a spade terminal hanging down on the left side of my lx172. Can one of you fellas with a 172 tell me where it's supposed to attach? Thanks.

Still trying to get my 6020 moving again. I replaced the pedal control rod bushing, it seems a bit stiff and jerky. Should I grease or oil it or will that just create a place for dirt to collect?

When I tried to start it this morning it cranked for 5 or 6 seconds and I released the key. When I turned the key again I got nothing, no dash light, nothing. Changed the battery, still nothing. The two fuses under the dash look okay, help?

Hi guys. I was mowing the lawn today, when I leaned over to avoid a branch the seat switch deactivated the pto. I pushed it in and pulled it back out, the engine shut down. Now I've got nothing, when I turn the switch I don't even get the dash light. If there is a fuse somewhere I don't see it...

I had noticed intermittent slowing, now it won't move at all in reverse, sometimes very slowly in forward. Hydraulic fluid level was okay but I changed it and the filter anyway (about 290 hrs on the tractor), had to use 15w40 as no 20 wgt available locally. Rear gear fluid is up to snuff...

My Ingersoll 6020 calls for 20W40 motor oil in the hydraulic system. Trouble is nobody in town carries it. They've got 15W40 though. Would it be alright to use this instead? If so should I drain first or can I just add. Thanks.
