how to drain hyd fluid from BX42 chipper?

I picked up this yesterday. First time owning one, and still a newbie with anything hydraulic. I had the seller run the chipper first and it performed ok. But I noticed the fluid dripping out of his remotes when he disconnected was a muddy brown/coffee and cream sort of color. So I am guessing...

grease gun tip stuck in awkward spot, ideas to get it off?

New gun. As I was making my way around the tracotr I insert the tip into the backhoe arm and there it stayed. I've pulled, twisted, tugged, yanked. Even unscrewed the gun hose and grabbed the tip with vise grips to pry it out. All I achieved was to marr the sides of the tip. Ideas?

are there aftermarket red lens available for fender brake lights?

are there aftermarket lens available for fender brake lights? The new MF's brake lights have been moved to the roof but they left the lens in the fenders with no wiring. I was thinking on hooking up some amber lights but of course this won't work with a red lens. Anybody know if these lens are...

how many hrs is too many hrs for a new tractor delivered?

Just wondering if there's an acceptable number (or average). Sure, some of that time is for factory and dealer setup and getting it ready for delivery. Mine arrived yesterday with 2.7 hrs on it.

So what is your cost to operate your tractor?

I did a quick search and didn't see a posting on it. If I missed it maybe someone can point me to it. I was thinking about this earlier and wondering what its going to cost to run and maintain a tractor. All things considered, what does it cost you per engine hour to run and maintain your...

Its official, my MF1643 is on order

Walked into Proudfoot's this morning after dropping the missus off at the mall. Her last words to me were, don't buy anything else today. Now she knows I'm headed over to the dealer to make the order for the 1643. But she knows me well enough to say that. Get to see Brock, we chat, looked over...

    to go from a 1635 to a 1643 for $2500, worth it?

This is a continuation of http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/massey-ferguson-buying-pricing/152073-why-so-hard-get-quote.html ... didn't want to hijack the OP's thread. :) I've been pricing a 1635 with factory cab and I have what I think is a reasonable price for the 1635. So, dealer says he...

Snowblower  snowblowers and itty bitty things that jamb them

Has never happened to me but then again I've never lived on a gravel road until now. So what are your stories? Big and small rocks...wayward sticks...buried shovels...toboggans...hats...mitts...scarves...boots (preferably with no one in them!) What sort of damage or frustration do they stir up?

    Bobcat FEL's - 7TL, 8TL, 9TL what are your experiences?

Since I'm now looking at the CT335 as my first tractor, one thing i know is it needs to lift 2,000 without straining itself out. The Bobcat page on FEL's doesn't say much at all. 3 pt. Front-End Loader Specifications - Bobcat Company

Got pricing on Kubota L4400HST and L3540HST

I was looking at either one. But I've read so much about the small B series, I'm wondering if I am getting too much tractor. I'm not in a rush to get things done, but I don't want to be disappointed with having to upgrade at some point down the road. I'm assuming a bigger tractor might retain...

Pictures of you and your tractor in "I can't believe we did that."

How about a look at where you and your tractor pulled off a job that you didn't think could be done. Whether it be digging something up, pulling something out, squeezing through a tight space in the woods, how far you can throw snow etc. For all the talk of nimbleness of SCUT's and CUT's I'd...

    tractor and dump trailer combo

I'm wondering just how big can you go to do something like this? I think this is the perfect setup. Could this be done with a MF1533 or 1635? I don't know what model that is in the photo. Photo courtesy of Wallace Tractor and Equipment

Price Check  Canuck price check on a CK35HST and DK40SEHST, what do you think?

I'm still looking...haven;t settled on a brand yet. But I have two prices from two Kioti dealers. The thing is I can't compare apple to apples since each dealer was showing me different models. DK40SEHST - This was my first look at a Kioti and in retrospect, its more tractor than I need. So...

Anybody have trouble with plugged up chutes on their chipper?

I was reading this thread (among others) Wish List: Chipper/shredder I've been looking around the forum for Bearcat owners who have blowers attached. I have this one 3" Chipper/Shredder - Model SC3305E (70085) and it will eat anything I can fit in it. But I don't have the blower unit, which was...
