I built my own scoop, lifts with a winch. I made the bucket 36" wide and it works pretty good for what it is. I moved all that gravel in the background with it. Yours being a bigger tractor, I would think a 36" would be no problem.
Just look at the lawsuits the tobacco companies have been dealing with. For years, they denied that their products were harmful. They promoted their stuff as the cool thing to do back in the 50s-60s. Even Fred Flintstone pushed product for them. You think that wasn't aimed at kids?
Point is...
My chute was kind of rusty last year, kept plugging.....I sanded and painted the inside this summer, made a world of difference....hasn't plugged up this year yet.
I am sort of in the same boat, I have an uphill going out of my driveway.....I have a 4x4 but the wifes van doesn't, so its gotta be plowed regularly. Good excuse to hop on the tractors.
On my 44" blade, it has a couple of float tabs on the outside edges, still dug into the gravel if not frozen yet. I just drilled a couple of holes in them and up through a piece of pipe. Bolted with a couple of carriage bolts. Only had one snowfall so far, but seemed to work well.
I just saw this thread for the 1st time tonight....As I started reading, I was thinking to myself....wonder if the Ontario guys are chiming in?.......Of course they are, its the biggest thing on a lot of peoples minds around here. Just sayin'.....lol
