Hi All,
first post on TBN after stalking existing posts for a year or so.
Bought a Shibaura SB1500B a few years ago which was sadly way too small and underpowered for what I needed it for. I have pushed it well past its boundaries, often overheating, some close calls on hillside etc. Have done little maintenace other than check oil levels, radiator etc.
The little shibby has developed a problem which I need help to identify.
Startup
1. Getting hard to start, gotta give it a lot of glow plug time and jiggle throttle to get it to turn over.
2. With throttle engaged near max the tractor slowly increases revs over a minute or so, i.e. it slowly spools up the revs rather than instantly applying power.
Driving
1. engaging in higher gear seems to cause engine to stall (like there is no power). low gear seems ok.
Hydraulics
1. attempting to lift hydarulics or engage slasher causes engine to stall unless in low gear
any ideas? would this be piston rings worn and tractor has no power? Fuel issue? Clutch issue?
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
