Advice on tire chain type

I am considering buying tire chains and am not sure what I should buy. I have ag tires with about 75 % tread. I would like to buy the ladder type as I run some on paved roads, but I have read that they do not do much good as they fall between the cletes. Any advice would be appreciated.

All I can tell you is what types I have had. First was what I'll call heavy V or U chains, had them on Oliver Super 55, they would grab like no tomorrow, super good in mud and snow. But were not good for the road, tractor would like waddle on blacktop, and scratch up pavement, though best traction. One other set I had was was considered road chains, small links, good for all around work but will not provide the traction as well as the V's. Hope this helps you?

I just got these chains from www.tirechains.com in PA, The ones I got are called two link ladder, they make the machine into a snow monster.

I got a set of V Bar 2 link chains from Tirechain.com
Garden Tractor V-BAR Chains

So far I'm happy with them. I use bungee cords to keep them tight. Pics are of the chains on my old BX2200 and my new BX2660

There is a huge difference between turf tires and ag tires.
The OP has ag tires.

tirechains.com is out of stock for any chains for me. they also say they are running several days behind on shipping.

I got a set of 2 link ladder chains from tirechain.com right after the first snowfall this winter, and boy am I glad I did. They have saved me during this snowpocalypse we've been having.
