- 1958 Massey Harris Ferguson 202 loader/backhoe
Hello, I just picked up a great 1958 MHF 202 with loader and backhoe. It's old and dirty but works great and has good power. I used it this weekend and am very happy with it but it got stuck in reverse once. It eventually came out OK after I let it sit for a couple of minutes, then it worked fine.
Later as I was backblading after digging out some stumps it popped out of reverse a couple of times. It also popped out of reverse 2 or 3 times when I was backing up a hill to get the backhoe into position to dig away at a portion of stone wall I am opening up.
I searched the forums and read a couple of past comments from Big Dean regarding getting it unstuck from reverse but I can't find anything regarding it popping out of reverse under load. Has anyone had this and/or have any thoughts on what to do about it?
Thanks
- Carl
