I just bought a Holder tractor primarily for clearing snow from the 1/2 mile long driveway at my cottage (soon to be permanent home) near Parry Sound Ontario. I'm not sure of the model number: some of the literature that came with it calls it a 242, some calls it a 240 & the German nameplate inside says 202.:confused2:
Regardless, this is one heavy duty machine. Can't wait to try it out, but first I have to do some minor service.

Cool rig, looks a bit like some of the town sidewalk blowers around here. Now we need action photos :)

very nice commercial unit.

They are $$$ new. Should serve you for a long time in a residential setting.

Our city dept here in Kamloops, British Columbia has had one of those for a few years now.... has the snow blade and it has a sweeper head too...They use it for cleaning sidewalks.... The bought a second or even third unit this year... I would love to have one as they appear to do a good job and work well

I will be doing service & minor maintenance over the next month or 2 so the action shots will have to wait until next snow season

Has it been used by a city or park, or maybe school?

Impressive machine, but also looks expensive to maintain (and repair if needed). Also will take up some major shed space in the off-season. But those times you have 24" of snow or more, it will be a real treat to drive that outfit through it and see it over at the neighbors piling up. :D

Previous owner was a landcaping company that bought it from Holder North America. Apparently it was originally used at an airport - maybe it came back off lease or was traded on a newer model.

Regarding service / repairs, this could be a downside of this machine. Parts suppliers are certainly less common than the normal tractor manufacturers & parts will cost more I'm sure. But it looks to be in very good condition, only 650 hrs so I thought it was worth a chance.
