I promised pix, and this is linked to another thread.

I bought this from Northern Tool. It is the NorTrac version. I got it with the potato plow then ordered the mold board for another $40.

I got worried that it would be cheap and lightweight but so far it has held up very well. Later this winter I am pulling electrical and such with it.

As for dimensions..... It is a class 1 plow. It is hooked up to my 3 pt adapter so don't get too confused.

The plow is 16" at its widest. The depth is adjustable by 4" on the stem. I have it in its lowest position which will board at 22" and potato plow at 18" in the extended position. Clearly knock off 4" for moving the shank up.

As for use, I have yet to cut a straight line. It is really due to the Power Trac and its articulated center and the fact you are driving backward. But it works, and works pretty well. I have been digging ditches for runoff and so far am very happy.

Carl

Carl,

I see a potential for damaging the 3pt arm if you hook on something solid.

Looks good I am curious about the attachment to pull electrical have you done any of that yet and where did it come from if thats how you planned to do that?

I have toyed with buying a TSC plow/chute they sell for their middle buster its only 60 bucks and put it on my KK MB to do the same thing so just wondering how well it works.

You can use that same shank with no plow, and weld a chain and bullet noses device for pulling wires. The purpose of the bullet is to expand the hole for the wire, and makes for less tension on the wire.

I have done the same thing using the bullet on the chain with a 3/4 galv pipe and threaded a PVC fitting into the back of the bullet and pulled a 100 ft of PVC pipe already glued. When you got to the end of the pull, you were done, except to finish out the PVC setup.

You can also pull several items at the same time.

If you think you might have roots, do a digging run first, and if clear, restart and bury the wire, PVC, black poly, wire, cable, etc.

This is the pipe puller I am most impressed with.

One of the guys on TBN built this.

The home built one at the bottom looks like the one I was thinking about buying JJ.

I wish I would have bought the dang thing when I knew where it was I cant find it at TSC or anywhere right now it just vanished from the search engines???

Man it was slick it was a radiused chute that bolted to the back of a subsoiler (MB with 2" shank) on a pivot with a curved tubular split pipe you laid the 1/2" black pvc was the size it used (or wire is what I planned on doing) closed the lid pinned it and go to work.

That would have saved me and anyone else that was wondering how to do it a lot of time and effort building one and it was only 60 bucks I think well ya snooze ya loose I always say darn it.

I think mine was on sale for $120 and then another $40 for the moldboard.

I doubt it could be had for $60 even used.
