I shot another turkey hunter in the face at 25 yards yesterday afternoon.

Decided to move to a new location about 4 pm and was walking down a woods road when this guy came trotting through. As soon as I saw him I squatted down and began to lip squeak. He went by me at first at about 60 yds. As soon as he heard me, he turned around and made a B line for me. I shot him head on at about 25 yds. with 3" heavy shot # 5. One less turkey killer roaming the woods.

Are coyotes a nuisance down in your area? Up here they're more a curiosity. We're not allowed to shoot them unless it's actually attacking our property (sheep, foul, etc.). and that's never been a problem for me. I very rarely even see one.

I've seen more red fox than coyote around my land. I get more use out of my Swarovski's than my Mossberg these days.

We have had coyotes stalk us during turkey season.On another forum I visit a fellow was actually bit by a coyote while calling.Happened so fast they never got a shot at the coyote.

Once the coyotes move in though, the foxes will pretty much disappear. I'm surprised you can't take them with a small game license? We have chickens and goats so its open season on anything near the house or barn but most coyotes seem to go elsewhere.

Coyotes are a nuisance in Texas. They inhabit the whole state. There is no season or license required, it is usually shoot on site. They run in packs and will take out sheep, goats, cats, and barn fowl.
