Well, This has been an interesting thread (for me) It seems that deer are common everywhere, snakes, foxes, possums, etc but so many things we don't have in Australia (and pleased about too) like groundhogs, Bears, squirrels, chipmunks, coyote (dingo?) bobcats, mountain lions, Skunks, racoons, moose, gophers, voles, (whatever they are) otters, chiggers (I think they are tiny bitey things) Bison and cougars.
I am pleased about that.... lol
There are also many breeds of snake we don't have but we have plenty of our own nasty ones. We do have scorpions and they make you sick if you get stung. The bullants (soldier or jumping) have made me quite sick and I don't want to get stung by another one. Real fierce mongrels. About the only other thing the really hurts is the paper wasp and i have had bad reactions to those too. (needle time)
No-one mentioned bigfoot. We know they are about, but like the panthers here, it is hard to convince some folk. Time will prove us right. We have the yowie. (but not on my place) (I don't think)
Thanks for the contributions all. Enjoy your tractoring.
