The ones on my Bobcats are about 12 inches wide, like these pictures found on google image search.

Here are mine.

Will have to measure the thickness, I'd guess at least 3/8.

Xfaxman,
Thank you! Your seperate receiver plates are the reason I need to know the exact width of the male plates. My pallet fork has a receiver that goes all the way across but, in the future, I might buy an attachment with plates like yours and I don't want my male ends too wide to fit. By the same token, I want them as wide as they need to be for sufficient strength.

Bill,
That might be what I'll do. At this point, I have a pin on bucket and a set of pallet forks with a SS quick attach bracket. I've got to come up with a common hookup somehow or other.

I've seen some place that makes adapters for pin mounted attachments to a skid steer QA. Sorry I don't remember where, but they are out there if you are interested.

You could adapt one from an actual Bobcat. Any Bobcat bone yards near you?

Most SSQA plates are open all the way across, that bucket I posted is the exception to the rule, but it shows what you are concerned about.

If you make the male ends no more than 12" wide, you should be okay.

I edited that post, for clarification.

It's OK, I've found several adaptors. I'm just trying to figure the most practical thing to do in my particular situation.

Xfaxman,
Thank you for all the new pix. If most of the female plates go all the way across, I'm probably concerned over nothing important.

Xfaxman's pictures explains it very well. Titan sells weld on plates complete with latch pins for I believe $279?? You will have to adapt them to fit your loader. You can find them on ebay. If you would like to do it the hard way (fun way), the pictures show what I did. I used half inch for the plates. The first attachment I made was a bale spear. Now I have to start working on the buckets. Dimensions are on the pics.
