New holland won't start and engine does when switched from service to run

I have a new holland lx 565 that would only make a clicking sound when turned over and would not start. I have replaced both solenoids; starter and engine solenoids and finally had to bypass to get the engine running. All of this while the switch is in "service" position. Now that it is running, when I switch from service mode to run mode, it kills the engine. What could be causing this? Obviously electrical issues but where do I begin to look for the problem?
