My dealer said that my 410 bucket comes off its lift arms with 2 pins. Wonder if I could have a bracket made that would latch into the same 2 points. The bracket could have a 4 square bolting in the middle on which to mount my 4' Gravely snow plow "snout" on which the snow plow is mounted. I'd have to tilt the blade side to side manually, of course, because the bucket arms are designed to raise and tilt the bucket in the other 2 planes.

Anyone done this, or something similar?

It is sure hard NOT to dream up ideas of all sorts to quick attach! Dig around in the Build it Yerself forum, as most brands offer quick attach buckets, and a another color owner may have done something similar.

I am pretty sure that you can get the hardware from JDParts so that you don't have to fabricate all the connecting stuff....

I'm pretty sure that there are several companies that make plows that attach just as you describe.

I've been working on the same thing.I welded up a frame out of rectangular stock and made the loops at the top out of flat stock(you can buy them already made up from John Deere but I always try to do things the hard way)At the bottom I found pins at tractor supply that worked.I haven't found the plow I want yet but my intentions are to let the plow pivot at the bottom and run a chain out from the top of my bracket to pick up the blade with the rollback. This way the blade will float just like it was intended to.If you can picture what I'm trying to do I hope it helps.

Here is a thread that shows how I mounted a Curtis Blade to my Kubota FEL.
Let it Snow.
I can take better pictures if it will help.

Part number is WP615300 (33 on the attached drawing). I'm seeing a price of $795.00 on J D Parts. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

That drawing should be very helpful. Anyone doing this should look closely at the design that Deere uses, it would be easy to go to a lot of trouble and not consider a crucial factor that the engineers have compensated for....

I was actually thinking about the pins and the top brackets, as Atch4115 mentioned. But, with the cost of materials, it doesn't take much before $800 is reasonable....

800$ for part 33 is ridiculous I'm afraid. That costs Deere about 50-100$ to make.

This might be what you are looking for. The parts needed are the "straps" the "hook" and for the bottom the "pin" the part numbers are:
W45253-strap
W3359-hook
W47211-pin
you can weld them to anything just like your bucket.

Here's what I did to my tractor (pardon the orange paint you will see). I found a 'bent' 3PH blade that I shortened the body on (that was the bent area). I then removed my bucket, and mounted the blade to my lower arms. The width was very close to the width of my bucket. I then removed the tilt cylinder, and put in a adjustable link. I then took the cylinder and welded brackets on the frame so that I could use this for hydraulic angle control. Here's a picture, so I hope that it clears up what I am trying to say here.
