Did you ever take the hoses off the tee to the cyl and place in a bucket to see if you are pushing any fluid through? You should have fluid from each hose using the joystick lever to operate all parts of the valve?

I use the Faster couplers on my PowerTrac.

Angry Re: Frustrated - Leak and no tilt on Bucket

No I did not. I got so frustrated after taking them off cleaning and re installing and having it not work I figured let the dealer do it as it is under warranty. I had enough oil on my arms already.

Also I did not have any spare fluid available - need to get some. Perhaps the dealer will give me a gallon or so - who knows

On edit. Thanks J_J for the link. It appears they are not even ag couplers but standard series

In the chart they are 9/16 thread size too. Interesting information.

Unhappy Re: Frustrated - Leak and no tilt on Bucket

Update - Dealer is still trying to solve issues. They had the district field rep in to help. The field rep is contacting the factory for solutions, Something about master valve or pump. Should know early next week. Trying to be patient, but I have a lot of work piling up.

Called today to check on status - seems the service manager, the only mechanic, has left. A new qualified person starts tomorrow.

Well - it is to be delivered tomorrow. Even though I had swapped hoses and cleaned the couplers - getting good air flow through them when dry connected, they claim it was a defective one. Failed under pressure. Good news they did find a leak in another hose and are replacing it. More tomorrow after it arrives

Unhappy Re: Frustrated - Leak and no tilt on Bucket

    Well

I have put 12 hours on it this weekend. So far I have had to repair (tighten) two couplings and now have a new leek. Tractor is running OK. Moved about 24 yards of material leveling out a new lawn.

New leak appears to be on the piping behind the couplers. It appears to be 1/2 in solid tubing with a T and a hose fitting. Hose fitting is saturated with drips running along this tubing. In addition some of the quick connects are damp - probably normal, or is it?

I got sprayed with hot hydraulic fluid when the lift coupling at the upper cylinder backed off suddenly. I had to loosen the hose at the lower connection in order to twist it to tighten up ant the cylinder. So far it is holding.

Dealer owner will swing by Wednesday too take a look at the latest leak.

Sounds to me like your dealer didn't do a very good PDI before your delivery.

My CT230 came with tons of bolts and fittings marked up with torque markings.

Thumbs up Re: Frustrated - Leak and no tilt on Bucket

OK - I think were back in business. I will be running it today for about 4 hours to be sure . Dealer owner did come by as promised and got under unit and did verify the leak I was talking about. The two black lines run to the oil cooler and back to the distribution block. On one of the lines is a short section of rubber hose with two clamps (possibly for vibration isolation). Both hose clamps were somewhat loose, one more than the other. He snugged them both up and checked the system. I could have done this but in my case I usually over-tighten things Also I was not exactly sure where the leak was. He thinks were over the hump

So off to ripping up some ground so I can run the tiller through it to put in a lawn - more mowing for me. Unfortunately I don't have a big tiller - just a 35 year old troy built Horse model that I love.

I did have a chat with the owner about all the fitting coming loose, etc and I should be past the worst part. Ill keep a set of wrenches handy just in case.

On thing my unit has all Italian made Faster brand couplers. The new units have Korea or Chinese made - driving the parts man nuts.

Thanks for the help here folks.

One last question, and I am not sure where to post this question- What kind or brand of trailers are you using to haul your unit. As I have a CT 235 I am guessing I need a 6K to 10K double axle unit to haul with any attachments. I do have filled GP tires which are bigger than the AG tires. I do like a safety factor as I am guessing my unit with attachment is around 3500 to 4K in weight.

    Thanks again - Keith

Looks like I've got a similar problem. I didn't have a leak, but I lost my curl function for the bucket. After doing a bunch of checking, I found that the female QD for the pressure line on the curl section of the loader valve was messed up. The poppet was not centered, it was off to one side. I'm pretty sure that's what's causing the problem, it's not able to open up becuase the tips of the poppet are not touching. Going to call the local dealer in the morning. Hopefully he has a set in stock. Mine are the Faster style also.

I'm using a dual axel 7500lb trailer. Seems to handle my CT230 and 6ft finish mower without any problems.
