Re: Best Trimmer Line
I just started using some .095" Shakespeare and it seemed like it fed out real sweet. But I use any brand of .095" and it is widely available in local stores.
On the other hand, it seems like the local stores are always running out of .155" line, so I bought some round Fireline in bulk over the internet cheaper than I could have bought line in local stores. Round line may not be as good, but the price is right.

I like Magnum Gatorline by Oregon. I use it in .095 square and it wears really well and resists breakage nicely. It's not too expensive either.

This has an aramid (kevlar) http://http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aramid
inner core, the strongest fiber next to spectra. http://http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...t_polyethylene
I think it's the strongest commercial line available, the square or twisted design will provide sharper cutting edges compared to round. That's what I'll buy once I run out of the round...
I use it in an Echo Bearcat WT190 push trimmer; 0.155 diameter line; cut to length. Trim 3 acres fenceline + pond. The bump-feed .95 residential trimmers just didn't suffice; constant reloading.
