iMatch Bushings / Sleeves?

There is currently a discussion in another thread (http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/showthread.php?p=936942#post936942) regarding the differences between bushings and sleeves when used on the 3-point pins - specifically where i-Matches connect to them. I am looking to understand the differences between them and what is the best applicable use for each. For example, on my MX6 I use a sleeve around the left/right pins so the i-Match connects securely when you pull the latches (and there is a sleeve on the top so the top catch connects nicely). On my Buhler Farm King mower, I tried to use the sleeves and they were too small - so I'm looking to put larger (wider) ones on the bottom pins and a sleeve on the top. However - in this other thread, someone mentioned there were differences and therefore I'm trying to figure out what the difference is so I buy the right ones in the next week.

Can anyone elaborate? Thanks for your help!

I think I like the kit better - frustrating that it works out this way and if you have mulitple attachments that you want to secure that you might need more than one kit....

So I have found that if the implement is left outside the JD bushings rust and the TSC/F&F brand bushings do not. FYI.

Unless others disagree, I think I will buy the JD kit and then buy extra sets of the sleeves/bushing from Fleet Farm/TSC to match. That way I've got a master set to work from when buying the others.

How much is the JD kit?

I paid $35 for the kit -- BW15056. However, while at the dealer, it occurred to me that I might want to pull the bushing off (neighbor wants to borrow attachment, etc.). Should have some spare pins. The pins are rolled steel and they'll likely expand, distort when pounded out. Dealer can't find part reference. Considered ordering 3 more kits.

Nah, I'll try the JDParts website. Found a slightly different bushing -- PM03015. Cost $4.50 including shipping (includes a pin). Won't likely rust like the kit unit. Only problem; need the tapered sleeve (one with hole in pics), too. Also found a couple of different iMatch sleeves that fit the top-link (Cat I) and the "closed-in" lower 3pt. links that are on a box-blade and a roto-tiller. They were significantly cheaper than the kit bushings as well. PM000353 is one of the bushings that I ordered and it cost $1.00 or $.50.

But, I need to get back to the dealer (or try the website) and get the tapered bushing. Oh well, no rush on the iMatch stuff just yet. I'm still using the backhoe and won't be blading or tilling for a spell... AKfish

They are similar to what Jeepinator posted but have a gold coating. They come as a pair and don't show any signs of rusting.

Since there seems to be so many options, sources, etc. - I believe I'm going to go with using the standard Deere kit first and then pick some additional parts (Speeco at Fleet Farm or TSC) afterwards.

The rust comments are accurate. A thin coat of grease seems to stop the rust.
