Beautiful 4040H with only 830 original hours. Tractor is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic shape. CCKB engine parts (carburetor, intake and air box) installed on original CCKA block to take it from a 16.5 hp to a 19.5 hp - like the 4041 model. Engine has 105 PSI compression (top of the range). Hydrostat is very strong. Steering is tight and everything works perfectly (charging system, PTO clutches, lights, hourmeter, hydraulics, etc.). Many new parts. Tractor has front and rear PTO, 3-point hitch and high flotation rear tires.

This Simplicity Powermax has a 19.5 hp Onan twin, 3 range Sunstrand hydrostat, front and rear live, independent PTOs, front and rear hydraulics, Cat. 0 3-point hitch with downpressure, etc. Very well built, heavy duty tractors.

Tractor comes with a completely restored 60" mid-mount mower deck, that will mow your yard like a carpet and a 60" rear dozer/grader blade.

Thanks, guys - for the favorable comments. These tractors are awesome, well built machines. They are fast becoming collector's items, also. They were absolutely way ahead of their time and retailed for over $6K in the mid-seventies. My 1973 Nova SS sold for around $3K new - for comparison. The arrival of the new Kubota compacts killed them in the late seventies, as they were just too costly to build. I have owned a few of them over the past decade. They are real workhorses. This particular tractor was in very good shape when I got it, and I have been using it the past two seasons. It was always garage kept and well taken care of by the original owner. It didn't really need much - other than some paint, decals and some TLC. With only 830 hours, there is a lot of life left in it - some PowerMax owners have over 3000 documented hours on the original engines and hydro's. I rebuilt the carburetor and fuel pump, new oil pump, key switch, battery, points, plugs, etc. It is essentially original and complete. Remember, nothing mows like a Simplicity! There are also many implements available for these tractors including FEL & BH.

I am in SE Ohio, just north of the I-70 / I-77 interchange. I am 100 miles from Cleveland, Columbus & Pittsburgh. If you want a good, quality tractor, it's well worth the trip. Just not many in this condition around. The 60" MMM and 60" rear dozer/grader blade are included.
