Hi Folks, I just bought a Sunstar 18hp, 48" deck, hydro on Craiglist. Based on other pictures I have seen, it looks to be a model in the 88-91 range as the exhaust exits out the left side. I bought it primarily to roll about 4.5 acres and do light occasional mowing.
I am having trouble identifying the year of the tractor as I am not even sure where to look for the ID tag.
I also need to replace the broken oil breather tube but again am not sure which Kohler Magnum 18 engine I have. There is a silver sticker on top of the engine however the print has long since rubbed off. According to partstree, the part numbers that fit my description of my tractor are 1692132 and 1692520.
Can anyone please assist me in identifying the year of my tractor (tell me where to look) and/or tell me what Kohler engine model numbers(s) came in an 18hp, 48" deck, hydro Sunstar?
