mid 70s Soverign with 16hp briggs 3416H model needs air filter

Anyone know how i could get a new air filter? ive found some part numbers online, but mainly all for hard parts, not replaceable stuff like the air filter etc.

I'm getting a new group 51r "honda civic" model car battery for it because the one that was in it was a lawn and garden little peon one. Took me an hour just to figure out by Exide's battery chart what would fit in there. Simplicity just lists a part # but no specifics or what kind of battery it is.

Baldwin PA2223. Ive had many old Simplicitys and that filter fits most of them. Had a 3410 and a 3414, two tanks they were. Once you run a Honda 51 battery, you will never buy another "mower" battery. People often stick them in to sell a tractor since they are about 1/4 the price, and about a 1/4 as good.
