With all the snow we have been getting this year I have made some relatively high snow piles. I didn't really need to because I have the rear snowblower, but I like doing it just to see how high I can make it.

What I would like for all of you to do is take a picture of your tractor and your snow piles either together or seperate so we can see just what these machines are capable of. Also tell what model tractor you have an a description of how tall it is.

I took one picture of my snow pile tonight but it was getting dark so I will take better pics tomorrow and get a measurement.

My tractor is a Montana 4340C and is just short of 8' tall.

Here is my New Hampshire snow pile. For reference the walls on the building are 8' tall. I use a Kubota B7510 with a bucket mounted snow plow. As you can see the plow simply slips into the bucket and is only held in place by the lift chain. I have been planing on building a mount to fit the quick atatch but this works well enough that I have yet to do it in two years.

Impressive! Here's some I posted in another thread:

Finally had a chance to get some shots of all our recent snow. While we do get a fair amount of snow up here, it usually melts somewhat before the next blast. We've got nearly two feet on the ground right now, and it's snowing more as I type. Driveway is getting narrower! Here's some shots:

That's all for now, gotta think about plowing again!

Maine looks like a lot of fun. Time well spent. Just be carefull with and don't underestimate the weight of the snow above those tunnels. I'd hate to see a little one get burried should it collapse.

Great Pictures so far:) I remember back when I was younger building snow forts. I can't remember the year but I was about 8 or 9 years old and we got tons of snow that year. We had a snow pile about 150' or so long and about 8' high that we dug tunnels through. It was great fun!!! Just make sure you keep and eye on the kids while they are playin in there as it can be very dangerous if it collapses.

Well I got some better pics even though it hasnt brightened up much today even though it is almost above freezing.

The snow pile is right at 10' tall and about 40' long. I can't really get it any higher unless I build a ramp.

I also got a couple pictures of my kid playing on the pile. Almost lost as she sunk in the deep snow behind the pile:eek:. She loves the snow and can run around in it all day.

I have piles all through the driveway. I'm not far from Jdeere so sizes are similar about 8-10'. The last pic is one of my neighbors across the street who I plow.

Here is how I push back the snow piles with my little Kioti CK20HST, I have a snowblower on it but I use the plow truck instead since it is so much faster. The snowblower is great when the snow banks are starting to block the driveway and shed. The tractor is almost 8ft tall with the cab. If the snowblower didn't hit the ground first, I could drive right up that snow banking. With loaded R4 Industrial tires and 4WD with diff lock, this little tractor can go anywhere in the snow and mud.

As your north easterners know we have been getting pounded w/snow so far this year. Although I have many large piles on the property, here are a few pics of my biggest one. I am 6'3" so based on this and standing next to it I would say its about 10 ' in height. This pile is actually my last 4 hrs. of seat time. I do have a guy plow as I havent used the tractor to plow yet (next year) but it is sure fun moving it around. But where he pushes the pile didnt really work for me (its free so I cant complain) so I needed to move/make this pile. I have a Kubota b2620 and I am very impressed w/ this machine so far.

In one of the pics I had to give my buddy Yogi some camera time I have 3 daughters so my only son:D he loves the snow and he is deffinetly mans best friend!
