it attaches in place of the bucket, and is driven with a pto powered hydraulic pump. theres a 50 gallon hydraulic tank on back. this also adds counterbalance to the weight of blower

That's a great setup. My back feels better just looking at it.

That's very interesting! I didn't buy a front mounted SB because I planned on putting a plow on the front end - which I did! I already had a spinal fusion (neck C-5 C-6 ) and pay the price every time I use any rear attachments. Your set-up would definitely save my neck and back from any further issues. Very nice set-up! Thanks for posting!

no problem. also, i have a front mounted plow. i can swap between the blower and the plow, or the bucket, in under 5 minutes.

no problem. also, i have a front mounted plow. i can swap between the blower and the plow, or the bucket, in under 5 minutes.

my neck used to lock up something fierce after rear snowblowing for 4-6 hours at a stretch. between the heated cab and having everything up front, i now have had no further problems with my neck.

this blower was cheaper then surgery,...which was where i was headed.

Take it from someone who's been there; buy something built already. I've been at this for 7 years... have in the neighborhood of $60K + into it, and it's still not 100%. The kicker is if I wanted to sell it, I'd be lucky to get $15-18K. Who's better off; me or the guy who buys it at 1/4 what's into it?

Ive done it myself plenty of times. There a few other Frankenstein projects Id like to build but I think Ill put them off until I have time and money to spare. One I would like to do is build a little gas save ford ranger or s10. Im spending a fortune in fuel.

Thats a nice little outfit ....Why bother with the blade though if you have a big bucket ?
