Snow removal in the South Island high country NZ this week Spectacular footage Train plowing through deep snow Arthurs Pass - YouTube

Hello Tony,

That is what is definitely referred to as
great mountain railroading. I am drooling already for winter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They refer to this as a two locomotive consist,
which is also referred to as a "plow extra" here in the
colonies.

I think you have a Beilhack rail mounted snow clearer/rotary plow
in Kiwi Country too- I will have to check my machinery master list.

You call that snow? If it isn't as high as the wind screen it doesn't count. If it isn't deep enough to derail the locomotive it doesn't count. If the train can push through it doesn't count. ;-)
