    Default Here comes Rocky!

It looks like Rocky is headed our way. It sounds like Texas is getting hammered today really bad. They are talking up to 12" of snow and winds in the 20 to 30 mph range in my neck of the woods. It's suppose to start early tommorow morning and go all day. Time to make sure the tractor has fuel, I bought toliet paper during my lunch hour today, I'm set.

Yup, satellite pics never lie. I can always tell 3 or 4 days ahead that precipitation is coming 'cause it always spawns over TX then up the Mississippi over the Great Lakes and down the St. Lawrence to the ocean. In the Northeast these storms usually only affect northeastern NY state and the tiny portion of New England that's located on the western flank of the Green/White Mountains (Appalachian range). Much more predictable than those finicky nor'easters like the one that dumped 10 inches over the weekend and that no one at NWS had seen coming. Anyway snow is in the forecast for Wednesday here.

We are gonna get a minute piece of it. I would rather have a big chunk of it. That way I can justify having spent $31,000.oo on a new snowblower. So far this winter I could have gotten away with a new walkbehind. About $1,000.oo
