I have seen many buckets on front end loaders that have the bucket curl control connected to lift the blade. The system on our farm only uses bucket lift controls to raise and lower the blade. Would we gain much from incorporating the curl control?

The plow assembly is going to need some repair before the beginning of next winter. I am looking for thoughts about improving how it is currently connected in the process (if possible).

Thanks,
Chris

I dont think so. KISS it. Keep It Simple Stupid sorry thats not meant to sound offensive but dont make it more complicated if its already working fine for you now.

Yes! My plow is hooked up to FEL arms which raise and lower the plow. Use the curl to angle the blade. I removed plow but will send some photos later today if it will help.

Use the lift to lift. Use the curl function to angle. It don't get any simpler especially if you have a joystick

Cray54,

This is how my plow attaches, You can see the center bar on the plow it is pinned to the center bar of the arms. A welder can help with that gives more support than chain. Also have 2 separate lines run to the hydro quick connect for FEL for the plow angle. Works very well. Hope this helps.

i find a second person saves a lot back and forth from joystick to line up loader holes.

I have the lift and power angle on the joystick. I also have the curl plumbed into one of my remote valves. I found the curl came in handy when you bury the front end and also it gives me some more room in my building as you can curl the blade closer to the tractor

Thank you for the replies and suggestions. We do need the chain to allow floating. The blade angle has been connected to a remote valve in the past, and this year (my first year) I connected blade angle to the bucket curl control which made it so much easier to use.

Based on the suggestions (3/4 said no need to lift plow with curl), I think I will keep the repairs simple this time. and not change anything. In the future, though, we're considering a quick attach plate. Perhaps then I would incorporate the curl cylinders (or lock them somehow).

Thanks,
Chris
