Whats the difference between hydraulic fluids rated 134D and 134 A,B orC? Anyone know?

(A,B,C )those are old iterations of the current standard 'D'

If you have new equipment that calls for D.. make sure you get an oil that complies with D.

If you are using older equipment that was for an older standard.. then any of the newer iterations will be fine for the older spec'd machine. IE.. using m2c134d in an old ford 660 hyds section... 134 spec wasn't even around back then.. :)

Well looks like I will have to remove the 9 1/2 gals of fluid.rated 134 ABC. Manual said that S A E 10W 30 was acceptable if 134D was unavailable. The dude at the napa store told me that the fluid was 10/30 and the bucket said 134 AB C . I certainly do not want to hurt my New Holland 3010 S .Thanks

I may be wrong.. but wasn't a 3010s out while the 134c spec was still in effect?

( i agree.. the napa utf should be fine.. )

You may not realize that tractor hydraulic fluid is a multi-vis product, about a 10w/30.
