Here is a recent add from the Mississippi Market Bulletin for pricing comparison:

Ford 1720, 4WD, with front end loader
& rotary cutter, 2,333 hrs., new clutch
& throw out bearing, everything
works, in excellent cond., $7,500.

Thanks. I used this tractor as an example when i spoke to the dealer. That's why i thought $10,500 would get it done.

Oh... you're buying from a dealer. Best of luck then. I'd look around for a similar machine from an individual.

I think your offer of 10,500 is too high. You should be able to get a newer tractor with less hours for that money. According to Tractordata a new 1720 in 2000 sold for $14K. The one your looking at is 17 years old with about 1400 hours.
I sold a 2004 Mahindra 2615 HST 4X4 26HP w/ loader last Feb. 2014 for $11K (10 years old at the time) and it only had 466 hours.
Just my opinion, you can do better for your money.

Go get a new machine with $0 down and 5 years no interest. Granted, you will pay a bit more, but its gonna be new.

There are no deals on used JD and Kubota, the damned things hold value very good.
