2001 Kioti 3054 tractor 4wd - Looking at buying this tractor with 700 hours. Has 5ft brush hog
What is the general opinion of this tractor?

I have the 2554 which is the same tractor and engine only tuned to 25HP. The other difference is the 3054 I believe had the shuttle shift.

They are good little tractors that can do a lot. Parts are becoming more of a problem and are expensive so I tend to get creative on repairs. Overall I have been happy with mine.

I have a 2004 lk3054xs TLB 500 hours. I love my machine. I knew some models had aluminum hydraulic pumps that failed but yours probably would’ve failed a long time ago off that was the case.

Typical issues are ignition switch goes bad. Kioti loader kl122 the loader mount needs reinforced loader is tough the mount flexes. Pay attention to water pump grab fan make sure it is solid no wobbling. Loss of water pump the engine overheat fast on the unit. Check radiator for scale in fins under the cap. typical no one changes antifreeze pH levels go and corrode the radiator block and head gasket. Clutch two stage, typically the PTO clutch goes first 800 -1000 hours. Must split the tractor to replace it. Other than that I had mine for 19 years over 2000 hours. Sold unit for more than I paid for it as second owner, sold in 2019. Neighbor who purchased it still using to clean horse barns. Darn tough tractor if maintained well.

Owned a 1999 LK3054. Bought with a little over 200 hours in 2011. Sold it 4 or 5 years later to buy a larger tractor. Had very few issues with it. Solid tractor. Fairly basic.
