601 Hydro Seal Kit help

I purchased the hydraulic seal kit for my Ford 601. My question is where do I start? Do I have to drain all the fluid? There are quite a few seals in the kit, will they all be used? A little help to get started in the right direction would be appreciated.

drain the hydro sump as you will probbaly get debri in it cleaning the top deck.

orings will be fairly obvious as to size. some orings go unde rthe lil 3x5 cover that is on yer lift cover.. some are on the plumbing manifold... etc.. etc.

yer I&T fo-20 service manula or ford service manual might be helpfull to have in hand too.

I took it apart today, wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought. I did have the manual close by. Replaced as many "O" rings as possible, put it back together and it actually works. We'll see how it does over time. I really enjoy working on this old tractor. Everything is so easy to get at. You can probably dismantle the whole tractor with 2 sockets a couple of wrenches and a screwdriver.

i know an 11/16 wrench will take you a long ways on just the hyds alone.

yep.. the kit is pretty comprehensive.
