What I know: You cant adjust it enough with the locking nut and stop bolt. With the pedal fully pushed down, the arm on the top of the caliper doesnt travel forward the entire length of the slot. The brakes are barely engaging. Its like the linkage is too long or stretched. This pedal also is the clutch and it seems fine. There is a slot in the flange thats connected to the pedal shaft that allows you to use the clutch without engaging the brakes. On the caliper lever there are two springs, one to pull it back to the off, and the other connected to the front thats pulled by you stepping on the brake pedal. Neither spring is stretched, and look to be doing their job, it looks like there just isnt enough travel of the linkage to pull the caliper lever fully forward. Adjusting the stop bolt for the caliper had no effect because the lever of the caliper isnt traveling forward far enough, it feels like about an half inch left for forward travel in the slot of the caliper lever. It seems like some of the linkage has stretched?

Are you sure the brake linings aren't just worn down enough that they no longer thick enough to make contact? That would be my guess.........
