IH D361
I have an old IH D361 in my fishing boat. I'm out of town and someone has been doing some work for me, during which we think some air was introduced into the fuel system. The guy doing the work isn't sure how to bleed the system and I'm not either. He plans to start by ensuring the fuel filters are full (two tanks, two filters) and then maybe start at the pump and work through the injectors. Pump first? Do the injectors need to be bled in order of timing? When bleeding the injectors is it obvious which nut to crack open?

thanks for any info

You crack the nut on the high pressure line coming to the injector at the injector , probably get by with cracking about three ,which ever are easiest to get a wrench on to loosen without a fight if you loosen more than 3 it probably won't start and run for you. .In 50+ years I have only loosened injector lines on an IHC engine once .
