Hey Guys,

I'm building a small back hoe and just finished forming the bucket. I have
the teeth cut out which are AR 400. Which stick electrode would be best to
weld them to the mild steel bucket?

The frame needs to be assembled and welded. I'm using .035 flux core
wire on the whole machine. It's a long drawn out project and it's taking
much longer than I thought to build.

Any suggestions would be greately appreciated. Thanks George

Hello & WELCOME to TBN!

I moved your thread to the Build-It Yourself Forum. :)

Now you've attracted the attention of the Administration.

Most of us just want to gawk at pictures of your creation. I'm busy turning a 3PH Kubota backhoe into a trailer mount because it won't fit on anything I have.

Anyway, if you go looking very far in this "Build-It Yourself" section, you will see you are not alone.

Welcome to the forum and all the best on your project!

I can't help you on the electrode question, sorry. I'm sure someone else can help you there. "Taking much longer than I thought to build" is pretty much what we can all relate to!:laughing: You just hang in there and you will get it done. Short Game has a project going and there are others, like myself, who are building or modifying backhoes and/or FEL's and we all agree on one theme on this forum: PICTURES!!:D

You are sure to get plenty of help in the form of advice so don't be shy and ask away!
