Bush Hog: Round vs. Oval Stumpjumper

I run a John Deere HX10, it has massive round blade carriers that are about half inch plate. Its a heavy enough cutter I don't bother marking a little stump like that, it would just shred it as it went over it. Bigger things like rocks or old concrete get pulled up with the loader

I took heed from the many posts here on TBN regarding hidden obstacles.

I have a large pasture near the house. After several years of mowing with my JD riding mower - it looks like a lawn. More exactly - a country lawn.

Before my very first mowing - I walked the entire area and marked hidden obstacles. Then I "broke my chops" removing these obstacles. This took the better part of an entire summer. Some obstacles were large rocks.

Now I can mow this area with no concern. It has REALLY responded nicely to this mowing and light fertilizing.
