Since I just sold a 2008 l3400 with 26 hrs, I have to ask where are you from???.
Is it from a dealer?

I am not aware of any problems with the L3400. I am sure you checked all of the fluid levels before buying. Your first service will be at 50 hours.

Let me guess,...
Is it,... Westview Tractors???

I would make sure to test Everything out, attach an implement, and do minor adjustments to the three point hitch... make sure you like it. Nothing major you have to look out for... Seats tend to stick, Tie rods are exposed... What kind of work do you plan to do???

If it's at Westview, it was mine.
So if kubmike wants to know anything, let me know.

Only two major things to check, and maybe ehchvac can answer if it was his tractor:

1. Older 3PH used an inching valve which is jerky if trying to make small adjustments.

2. Hydraulic suction hoses had a problem with cracking. Newer ones are an updated hose. It may have already been fixed or may be new enough to not have a problem.
