Just took delivery of my BX this week. I have a noise that is unusual to me and want to find out if it's normal.

I hear it when I turn the key on.. but before turning the key to the glow plug spot or start. It sounds like an intermittent buzzing. Not sure whether it's a fuel pump (electric pump?) or just some sort of ignition noise.

The tractor starts up and runs well.. just an unusual noise. I want to make sure everything is good because the dealer offers free pickup and delivery on service calls only for the first 90 days.

thanks!

Yup, as is the little click you hear a couple of seconds after you turn it off (fuel shut-off solenoid slamming home).

Much thanks.. I was at the dealer and asked the mechanic about it and he said it was in fact an electric pump and added that he used to be able to hear them, but can't anymore!

so I guess my ears are still OK!
