Having just paid $3800 for that cab and heater installed I would say you are one lucky guy to stumble onto a deal that good. I'm not sure the dealer can even buy the parts for that much and it takes several hours to install. As far as the paint goes, I had one on my original BX2200 for 11 years and no paint issues to speak of. The new one seems to be of the same quality so I don't anticipate any problems but time will tell. Not a ton of alternative choices for the BX25 anyway.

The paint is coming off in sheets so when the cab comes off in the spring I will completely disassemble it, sandblast and repaint with automotive paints. If I remember correctly the list price for the cab was 2500, heater 350 then 500 to assemble. One other thing I find annoying about the cab is the doors don't stay adjusted for the entire winter. So the hing mounts and the cab in general will be reinforced. I don't have a lot of time for more projects that's why I bought new in the first place, so this just doesn't sit well with me.
