i'm sure this has been talked about; however, i just received my tiltmeter and want to put it on my bx2200. what have others done? There's no apparent first choice of a place to put it.
thanks,

There are two recent posts under "Tractor Safety" that discuss this. General answer is: on your dash, on the hood or on the FEL uprights. Issue is best way to attach it in one of these places. Rick Hedgecock of R&B Manufacuring who manufactures tiltmeters has tons of personal care he has been providing thru the Forum and directly to several of us on your very issue. I will use the tape to attach my new tiltmeter this weekend. Given the mountains where we are located and the inexperience I bring to this, getting an extra source of warning information seems highly useful. Good luck.

charliek,
Please look under tractor safety, and see pictures of a new
mounting bracket we are introducing. You should be able to
use it on hood in front of steering wheel. We have not made it
standard equipment yet, but will soon, if feed back is good
from some guys on tbn that are testing the bracket. I will
send you one if you look at pictures and think it will work
better for you. We have just finished testing the brackets
you got, with adhesive on legs instead of drilling holes to
mount on hood. Suprisingly, the two sided tape works very
good. You can get the tape alot of places, or send me an
e-mail, with your address, and I'll send you some. Thanks,
Rick

Charlie,

I mounted my tilt meter to the grill guard on my BX2200. This seemed like the best position, as I am always looking ahead at the loader or for objects when mowing on slopes. I will post a pic as soon as find my camera the wife borrowed.

I also have my tiltmeter mounted on top of the FEL grill guard at the front of my Kubota (B7500 HST). To mount the tiltmeter, I simply used a strip of double stick tape (the thicker type - sometimes sold to mount posters) between the bottom of the tiltmeter and the top of the grill guard. It has been over a month now, and the meter is still solidly in place. This seems an ideal location because the tiltmeter is always in my line of sight as I'm driving.

Charlie,

I mounted my tilt meter under my grill guard to offer some protection. I used a two part epoxy to glue it. It has been on there for four months now.

Rick:
You have a wonderful product. I will order one in the morning but I have a "newbie" question. How many degrees is considered "safe" on these tractors. I'm sure others are asking the same question.

DonS,
Check our model #25C on our web site at www.tiltmeter.com
it is painted to show caution and danger points, using ANSI
standards for tractors. HOWEVER, you must take into
consideration-washouts, ruts, stumps, etc. We rocommend
wheeel weights, or, frame weights, filled tires, etc.
Hope this helps. Rick
