Well the dealer says no & no.
No compression release made.
Head to thin to drill & tap.
Idea #3 (give or take a little). First I get a new spark plug. Take the old 1 and grind a small groove in the threads. Then see if works & if the engine changes.
Modern spark plugs only seal on the gasket & not the threads.
Only out a little time & 1 old spark plug.
My 372 with compression release is easier to start than my 55 Rancher. The old Rancher has very good compression
