I had to repair a small plastic float with crazy glue that goes in a mineral oil reservoir for a brake system in a tractor.

Anyone know if mineral oil would break down the crazy glue and cause the repair to fail?

Can I put the repaired pieces in the oil reservoir an hour after drying, or is more time necessary to "cure"?

Thanks.

You should be ok with a CA glue. Youd have to ensure that the float was very clean and oil free before applying.

Another product that may work would be SealAll. Seal-All Contact Adhesive 1208 Its pretty much available anywheres. Might have to rough up the plastic first.

I would use Seal-All.
