I have a freshly rebuilt White D198ER 4 cylinder diesel motor with all of the accessories. I bought it when I had a MEP-004a generator with a blown motor, but I sold the generator to someone who needed parts and now I just have a brand new motor all crated up just sitting around. I can't think of anything to do with it, though. I believe it's 44 HP at 2000 RPM.

Does anyone have any ideas...or have their own use for it? Worst case, I'll keep it crated up and in the barn. It's getting harder and harder to find a good industrial, all mechanical motor these days.

Advertise it on a few prepper sites, ask a lot for it. It is the perfect EMP proof engine.

I paid 1250 for it and spent another 250 or so to get it shipped to me from Oregon. I'm not opposed to selling it, but I can't imagine there's a big market for them either.

Get a Ford Ranger 4x4 with a blown motor on the cheap and have at it. There was a guy who did just that with a 28HP Jinma Diesel and a Mazda B2200, same truck as a Ranger. It would get 45 mpg and run 60 mph. Toughest part was having an adapter plate made to put between it and the factory 5 speed manual.
