I hear ya Steve! If you put a real fine pencil to any of this tractor stuff it comes out on the "minimum wage" side (or lower) real quick! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif It's just so much fun that I don't want to stop. I mean really, where else can you spend money for toys and then pass off the exercise as work? And then there's the promise of retirement and doing it all day long. Makes that tunnel of traffic I traverse every day just a bit more bearable. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

CCI - Thanks for the quick reply. I take it the drum mower is used to cut the field and then you could use the Mini Bailer to scoop up the grass and turn it into round bailes. Will the drum mower create rows or will you need the rake as well?

They do windrow the hay a little but unless you have very heavy hay a 5.5' swath will not make a big windrow. The old adage is the bigger the windrow the better the bales. You would be best to rake 2 passes into a windrow.
