expoxy release agent

   / expoxy release agent #21
Acetone will debond most epoxies if not fully hardened. The real killer for it is methylene chloride (dichloromethane) - but that's nearly impossible to get anymore. Paint strippers usually don't have enough methylene chloride to affect epoxy very quickly.

DMF (dimethylformamide) will dissolve hardened epoxy - but like methylene chloride is difficult to find.

Your observations on the mixing tip are right on - which is why you need to use a quality anchoring system. Simpson Strong-Tie is another manufacturer that makes a good epoxy system; as does Williams Form Engineering (Wil-Bond Concrete Anchor System).

The Hilti HIT-RE-500 system is approved by a number of state transportation departments for use in highway construction.

Us old timers used to set anchor bolts with molten sulfer.
