....

Maybe in a years time, all I have to do is cut grass. :)
:)

Not quite there yet. No more drywall work or painting is needed, anywhere.

The wood floors still need to be refinished.

I did manage to fix up an outbuilding, but not the barn.

The swallows are back, so I'll have to wait until they are done.

Eddie is correct about appreciation. Looking back I myself have lost memories of the work that was undertaken. Is that good? :)

If the economy was strong yes, but being what it is now, for the money it would be cheaper to buy a place already finished.

It is our home though, not an investment. So I guess it depends......

How is that for a wishy-washy answer? :)

Thanks, the answer is fine with me.

We are currently going through the process of trying to decide whether a farmhouse on 4 acres we own is worth saving. The property is strictly an investment for us. I have do have jack the house up and gut to the studs kind of rehab. experience. The labor even self supplied is the major holdup.

Somewhere in this thread life, I almost finished the farm house.

This weekend, our project time turned towards some outbuildings we had. Notice the past tense.

A chicken coop, and an "equipment shed".

I took the B against both.

After about 16 hours, I have some nice piles of firewood in my pastures.

My interesting find in the shed, was license plates from DC and VA. 1947 and 1946. In pretty good condition. Seeing how they had been nailed into the original floors of the "shed" and then covered over with a sub-floor.

Pics tonight.

This thread is like a good memory for me, so I keep coming back to it for the time line.

Poor cat.

The shed did look a bit nasty and worse for wear. I probably would have done the same.
